Productive Day For
Eurobin Falls Photoshoot
Our trip to Eurobin Falls was, despite the chill, very productive. Fortunately it didn't rain.
We took the short 400 metre walk into Ladies Bath Falls just up the road from the Eurobin Falls on the Mount Buffalo road.

Our focus was slow speed photography, playing around with ISO, aperture and of course speed. The objective was to create a serene mood with flowing water. We also captured images at faster speeds to create a mood representing the power of moving water. Some people used neutral density filters to control the amount of light entering their cameras.

It was a great opportunity to become familiar with our cameras when shooting in Manual.

There was a dramatic difference in the light coming from the water against the surrounding rocks and foliage. We intend to spend our next meeting in the Hall on Saturday 15 July applying post processing methods with Affinity Photo to address these differences. This session is open to anyone who wants to discover more about post processing with any images.

Watch the video below for some great ideas on how to improve your waterfall shots.
For those people who attended on Saturday we would like to see your work. Please upload your best or most interesting images below

Photographing Majestic Waterfalls
Here's an interesting video about photographing waterfalls. It's long and meanders a bit but it's got useful advice about waterfalls and photography generally. There is an interesting section describing how to use layers in post processing to create photos with streaming water on a sharp background. We could do that with Affinity.

We plan to visit a local waterfall, Eurobin Falls on Mt Buffalo, and try the methods out.
